The camera loves texture and movement — linen, silk, chiffon, anything that catches wind. It is far less kind to tight micro-patterns, which shimmer strangely on screen, and to brand-new shoes, which show in every walking shot.
For Himalayan and heritage locations, earth tones and jewel tones photograph best: rust, cream, deep green, maroon. Avoid pure white against snow and pure black in dim courtyards — both eat detail.
Bring three outfits maximum. One formal, one relaxed, one wildcard. More than that and outfit changes eat the session. And coordinate with your partner rather than matching: same palette, different pieces.
The one rule that matters most: wear something you can move in without thinking about it. Comfort reads as confidence, and confidence is the most photogenic thing you can wear.
